CODE OF CONDUCT

Our compass

Whether in Germany, Europe or worldwide: Our Artlife team creates spaces and experiences. In doing so, we take responsibility – for the people we work with and for the environment in which we operate. This Code of Conduct is our promise. It is based on international standards such as the UN Charter of Human Rights, but for us it is, above all, a matter of the heart.

1. We stand up for responsibility & ethics

We comply with the law. And we go a step further:

Values over profit: We are committed to fair competition and protect intellectual property. There is no place for corruption and bribery at Artlife.

Integrity: We treat our partners fairly and stand by our word.

Respect: We respect different cultures and traditions. If these do not align with or threaten our values, we actively seek dialogue.

2. Humanity: We respect human rights

For us, human rights are non-negotiable. We take great care to ensure that our actions do not harm anyone, and we are committed to protecting the dignity of every individual.

3. Fair play: Our working conditions

We create an environment where everyone feels safe and valued.

Freedom: We respect the right to organise in trade unions and to express one’s opinions freely.

No coercion: We strictly reject any form of forced or slave labour.

Child protection: Child labour is strictly prohibited. We nurture young talent but take rigorous measures to safeguard their health and education.

Genuine diversity: We do not tolerate discrimination – whether on the grounds of origin, skin colour, gender, religion or sexual orientation. We are all human beings.

Faire balance: We ensure reasonable working hours, rest breaks and a wage that allowsfor a good standard of living.

Safety: Health comes first. We provide the necessary protective equipment and ensure a safe working environment.

4. Transparency: No conflicts of interest

We keep our work and private lives strictly separate.

Objectivity: We make decisions based on facts (quality, price, reliability), not onpersonal favours.

Transparency: Transactions with family members or friends must be in line with market conditions and require the management’s approval.

Gifts: Small gifts are fine, if they don’t go overboard and aren’t intended to influence a decision. When in doubt: Check with us.

5. Fairness in the market: Against corruption & money laundering

We want to win people over with our performance, not with gimmicks.

Fair competition: No price-fixing, no market sharing. We play fair.

Transparent finances: We closely monitor our cash flows and have a zero-tolerance policy towards money laundering.

6. Customer focus: Quality & safety

Our trade fair and event structures as well as our services must be safe. We comply with all health and safety standards and advertise honestly. We only make promises we can keep.

7. Our Environment: Sustainability as a standard

Trade shows and events consume resources— we minimise our environmental footprint.

Conservation of resources: We use efficient technology and reduce emissions.

Circular economy: We dispose of waste properly and prioritise reuse/recycling whenever possible.

8. Species protection: Respecting nature

We respect animal welfare and strictly adhere to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). Endangered animal and plant species have no place in our projects.

9. Trust: Data protection & confidentiality

Your data is safe with us.

Confidentiality: We handle our clients’ and partners’ trade secrets with the same care and discretion as our own.

Data protection: We process personal data only in accordance with applicable law and never disclose it without permission.

10. Putting it into practice: We live by it.

This code is not just a document to befiled away. We communicate it openly and expect our partners to act in accordance with similar values. We incorporate these principles into our daily work and our strategy.
