Why we rely on certificates
In recent years, legal requirements on the subject of sustainability have become increasingly stringent. With implications for economic development and requirements that impact business relationships and processes. Increasingly, exhibitors expect their trade fair service providers and other suppliers to provide evidence of sustainable business practices or sustainably or resource-efficiently produced stand construction solutions.
With our certifications, we demonstrate that as a company in a consumption-intensive industry, our actions are guided by a responsible approach to ecological and economic resources as well as social responsibility. In this way, we also meet the requirements of our customers, whose CSR strategy not only takes into account our own sustainable business practices. The disclosure and tracking of every process step in every project required by the strategy also includes the actions of our contracted service providers. The certificate enables our customers/clients to give substantial consideration to sustainable actions when awarding contracts.
Our commitment to sustainability is not purely an end in itself. It is an expression of our attitude and our self-image. In our efforts, we are also closely aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and are already making our contribution to selected SDGs.
Our certificates
Sustainable Company
Since 2011, we have been certified as a “Sustainable Company” by fwd:, Bundesvereinigung Veranstaltungswirtschaft e. V. (formerly Famab).
The “Sustainable Company” certificate was developed by fwd: (formerly Famab) together with its partners CO2OL and Viabono specifically for the live communications industry. For the criteria catalog, eleven sustainability-relevant company areas were identified, such as the CO2 balance, waste disposal, materials purchasing, but also social aspects of employee responsibility. The company uses this to document its sustainable positioning. In an increasingly sensitive market, the label has become a decisive selection criterion. As an independent auditor and competent partner, the company CO2OL carries out the certifications.
Environmental management system according to DIN EN ISO 14001:2015
We are certified according to DIN ISO 14001 environmental management.
The goal of the EMS is operational environmental protection. To this end, we have developed an environmental strategy tailored specifically to our company, which we consistently put into practice. For this purpose, environmental targets, e.g. CO2 reduction targets, are set which are monitored and analyzed using key figures. The management system helps to establish a continuous improvement process in the company.
The EMS systematizes the operating procedure, including all processes, in order to increase economic as well as ecological performance and to raise internal awareness among all those involved. Environmental management systems offer the opportunity to involve employees more actively in their organization and to make better use of their “on-site knowledge”. In this way, potential for improvement can be exploited that would otherwise often remain hidden.
