The task

Transgourmet, is a specialist for the Germany-wide supply of a high-quality professional full assortment to large-scale consumers in the hotel industry, gastronomy, company catering and social institutions. Four times a year, the company presents itself and its own divisions at its traditional in-house trade fairs. Together with 170 exhibitors from the supplier industry, a wide range of current food and product trends – flanked by practical solutions for operational processes – is presented. After twenty years, the trade fair is now to be given a new face. Our goal is to establish “essenz” as the leading trade fair in the foodservice industry, according to our customer’s maxim. For us, this is both an incentive and a challenge.

The Artlife solution

For its future in-house exhibition “essenz”, Transgourmet asked us to tailor an atmospheric world of experience around its products, private brands and corporate philosophy. For this purpose, we fundamentally revised the long-standing format, restructured it and gave the trade fair a contemporary look.

Our idea: an experience space inspired by a market hall.

Arriving, looking around and exchanging ideas, tasting new products – everything that has always been the focus of a market hall can also be found at the Transgourmet trade fair. Lectures, product and tasting shows as well as workshops and exchanges with experts round off the trade event. 7,000 square meters have been set aside for this purpose at the Augsburg Trade Fair Center. The focal point is the central marketplace with an area of 1,500 sqm. Here, twelve five-meter-high stands with different themes presented themselves effectively and imaginatively under one roof.

Beyond the development of the trade fair concept, Artlife is responsible for the room concept, the entire set construction, for the stand design of all Transgourmet own area stands as well as for the stage construction and media technology. The support of the 170 exhibitors with regard to the stand construction was also part of our tasks. Last but not least, we were also responsible for the logistics concept.

Sustainability/climate neutrality

From the selection of materials to the printing products and the shipping, everything is geared towards as low a CO² emission as possible. All processes or services that cannot be climate neutral have been offset by recognized certificates.
