With the Festival Living Room and the Melitta CoffeeBar, Melitta chose a new way to showcase the brand in an unusual environment. The 250 square meter living room was a quiet counterpoint to the hustle and bustle of the festival business. Rock am Ring, Hurricane, Lollapalooza were the stops on the first Melitta festival tour.
The Artlife solution
Consisting of a total of seven high-quality exhibition containers, Artlife expanded the modular concept into a two-story festival living room. With wallpapered walls, hung pictures and photographs, a mix and match of built vintage and modern furniture as well as roof greening, Artlife lovingly created an atmospheric living ambience for the coffee roaster from Bremen.
The first floor invited festival-guests to enjoy coffee in a cozy atmosphere and share their experiences via social media using the free WLAN. The roof terrace on the upper floor offered an overview of the festival grounds.
The coffee grinder with rotating crank, enthroned seven meters above everything, provided an attractive long-distance effect. The basic framework for this was a 2.20m x 2.20m x 2.50m steel structure clad in acrylic glass. The construction at this great height, including the motor, presented special challenges in terms of statics and implementation.
The wooden façade in lamella optics made the construction lively and ideally suited the festival atmosphere. The Melitta CoffeeBars placed in the infield of the stages were also built in the same style.
The Hamburg agency East End was responsible for the concept and implementation of the Melitta festival tour.
