Nintendo Trade fair presentation

gamescom 2025: Artlife once again responsible for Nintendo's exhibition stand

This year, gamescom was once again the global meeting place for digital game culture. For the Japanese video game manufacturer Nintendo, Artlife took over the structural implementation of the main stand and the business centre with a total of around 1,250 square metres of stand space. The stand concept was developed by the Wiesbaden-based agency brandscape creative consultancy.

The central topic of this year’s appearance at Europe’s largest trade fair for interactive games and consumer electronics in Cologne was the presentation of the new Nintendo Switch 2 console.

The 850 square metre main stand was divided into four areas separated by hall corridors. In addition to numerous game stations, the trade fair appearance offered a “Nintendo Playground” for interactive activities and a “Nintendo Battle Stage” for tournaments. 24 stations on three levels were available for live competitions in the newly released exclusive title “Mario Kart World” on the Battle Stage.

With its attention-grabbing trade fair appearance in the characteristic Nintendo red, the game console manufacturer made a clear brand statement and stood out especially in the competitive environment. The design was characterised by geometric clarity and an open, inviting atmosphere. In order to create sufficient space for the audience and play zones, Artlife deliberately refrained from using massive room elements. Themed graphics, motif walls and a ceiling element visible from afar signalled the playable highlights to visitors from a distance.

The business center, also implemented by Artlife, was reserved exclusively for media representatives and trading partners. On 500 square meters, a functionally structured area was created with press and meeting rooms, thematically designed meeting zones as well as a lounge and back office area.
