The task

Due to the increased use of online banking, the branches of Taunus Sparkasse are less frequented than in the past. While other institutions are closing branches, Taunus Sparkasse is looking for solutions to enable customers to continue to bank locally in the familiar environment with personal advice. The question: How can the available space in the branches be used for personal advice and while maintaining privacy? And all this from a design and cost point of view?

The Artlife solution

In a multi-stage process, we designed and developed a module together with Taunus Sparkasse and the technical service provider that meets all customer requirements. The Dialog Insel is a self-banking terminal consisting of an attractive, round body with a wood-slat look. A backlit ceiling element creates atmosphere.

The necessary privacy is provided by a sliding wall unit with which the module can be closed. The call center of the Taunus Sparkasse is contacted via a camera and a monitor inside. A card reader and a sign pad allow for easy banking transactions. In the meantime, the prototype has become series production, which is produced entirely by Artlife and thus also meets the customer’s wishes from a quality and cost point of view.
