Trade fair presentation
For the tenth time, Nintendo presented itself at gamescom, the world’s largest video game fair, in Cologne. We have been working for Nintendo with our friends from the Wiesbaden-based agency brandscape creative consultancy since the previous Games Convention event. As different as the tasks at Nintendo are, the challenges are the same for almost all Nintendo trade fair projects: designing large areas, creating awareness and visibility, and making a clear brand statement.
The Artlife solution
The Nintendo booth at gamescom always proves to be a crowd puller. The focus is on the fun of playing at numerous game stations and the presentation of the four major titles in adequately designed theme areas. Large walls with motifs signal the titles that can be played and are visible from afar. Framed by the striking red of the Nintendo brand, the presentation features a geometrically clear design. In order to maintain a light and inviting atmosphere, massive structures on the sides of the stand are avoided. The stage combines two live show formats: The “Nintendo Battle Stage” with different tournament situations on one side and the “Nintendo Playground” on the other, which offers space for participatory activities, interviews and live gameplay as a vibrant Nintendo living room.
