Artlife realizes set construction for d.velop Summit 2025

At the beginning of June, the Areal Böhler in Düsseldorf was once again transformed into a platform for digitization and innovation. The d.velop Summit 2025 brought together international experts, d.velop customers and partners from all industries for professional exchange. For the implementation of Germany’s largest congress for process digitalization, we took over the set, equipment and stage construction. The stand construction for selected exhibitors was also one of Artlife’s tasks. The overall content and design concept was developed by the Essen-based agency for live communication CLOU.

The d.velop Summit 2025 took place from June 3 to 5 under the motto “MEET. CREATE. INNOVATE.” More than 100 specialist lectures and keynotes, deep dives, master classes and best practices were spread over 15,000 square meters of event space, seven parallel stages and numerous theme hubs during the three-day industry festival. With over 2,000 participants, the congress set a new visitor record this year.

We realized the set and stage construction in two halls of the Areal Böhler: the cold steel hall with 6,500 square meters and the forge hall with 8,500 square meters. The focus was on the structural staging of an open room-in-room concept that visually separates the various theme and brand areas as well as the stages within the spacious industrial halls from each other without impairing the openness and transparency of the open space.

The targeted use of textile surfaces conveyed the feeling of modernity and lightness and at the same time optimised the room acoustics. The large-scale printed background walls integrated the d.velop branding in a clear and contemporary way. As a room divider and design element, modular plant walls supported the acoustics and were at the same time a visible expression of the event’s sustainable overall concept. Decorative soundproofing panels in brand colours and natural materials provided visual structure and a warm, inviting atmosphere at the same time.

The 54 square meter main stage offered a special design solution: it consisted of several levels that gave the stage a dynamic structure and spatial depth. The spatial concept was complemented by individualised furniture, which set accents in its materiality characterised by metal and wooden elements and picked up on the industrial character of the Areal Böhler.

In addition to the design of the theme and exhibition areas and the theme-appropriate wayfinding system, we were also responsible for the construction of individual brand stands for various exhibitors. These were implemented in close coordination with the respective companies and integrated into the overall design.
